The Mission of the Friends of Wolf Creek National Fish Hatchery is to promote a better understanding and appreciation of the natural history, resources, and habitat of Kentucky, with particular emphasis on promoting environmental education and recreational fishing to the public.
Our purpose is to plan, promote, and conduct fishing events for children; promote the proper use and preservation of Kentucky streams, rivers, and lakes for fishing and provide environmental education programs to the public.
We also serve an important role as an advocate for the U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service. We secure resources needed for the hatchery, and serve as a liaison between the hatchery and local, state, and federal officials.
